When you can’t afford the real thing, find something close enough to the original.
I’ve found these Topshop Aftershock cut out lace-up boots, that look pretty close to the Alexander Wang lace up leather boots that I obviously can’t afford. I’ve been trying to put together a ‘work wardrobe’ with smarter attire for when I eventually land myself a ‘real’ job and these fit the bill. Although I think I’ll most likely wreck the white sole but easy enough to paint them black so that’s no biggie.
What do you think? As much as I’d like the originals, a girl’s gotta eat.

I hate Winter, especially with this schizophrenic weather we’re having in the UK, heavy snowfall one day, torrential rain then sleet, it’s all over the place. I find it really hard to dress for the cold and normally end up looking like an over-layered slob. So I’m eagerly awaiting any kind of sunshine… please Spring hurry up I need my Vitamin D!
In preparation for Spring I’ve found this beautiful array of Sunglasses by Cast. I would like to own a precious pair of Sunglasses worth more than £20, but I always worry about how fragile they are. These I would make an exception for, I’d just have to make sure I bought a hard case for safe storage. The question is… would I be able to get away with any of these styles? Quite wild, which is why I love them!
Here are my favourite picks!
You And I Are In Love $220
Me, Me, Me and Me $220
Love the cute names, think I’d end up going for the ‘Me, Me, Me and Me’ pair… I can’t resist the tortoise shell and the shape of these. Make sure you check out the Cast Eyewear shop for the rest of the collection!
